AKR CLINIC CREW

In early 2020 the AKR Clinic based at Campbelltown was established and treated over 50 new admissions each month. The Clinic provided veterinary care to hundreds of animals, mostly koalas and other wildlife and a bold, new model for wildlife rescue, treatment and rehabilitation in SA.

When the short-term lease at Campbelltown expired the AKR Clinic took a risk and relocated to Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills with the hope of a permanent home. Unfortunately the facility fell short of expectation and AKR was recently disappointed to have to abort plans to establish a long-term home there.

The AKR Clinic is looking for a new and permanent home. AKR is conducting veterinary operations under a different and temporary model until a new site can be secured. We are not currently recruiting for the AKR Clinic but instead our existing volunteers are focused in other areas including rescue, research, education and administration.

If you are 18 or older you are welcome to apply to join our volunteer crews. We will register your details and get back to you when we’re ready to train up our next round of passionate volunteers keen to help save SA koalas and other wildlife. Please let us know via the form on this page if there are other skills or experience you have that could benefit AKR - Thanks in advance for contacting us!
